How Love Wins
Somewhere between now and then I lost the man I could have been
Took everything that wasn't mine to take but Love believes that it is not too late
Only one of us deserves this cross, a suffering that should belong to me
Deep within this man I hang beside is the place where shame and grace collide
And it's beautiful agony that He believes it's not too late for me
This is how Love wins, every single time
Climbing high upon a tree where someone else should die
This is how Love heals, the deepest part of you
Letting Himself bleed into the middle of your wounds
This is what Love says, standing at the door
You don't have to be who you've been before
Silenced by His voice, death can't speak again
This is how Love wins
Did you see this moment from the start that we would drink this cup of suffering?
I wonder, did we ever meet? Childhood games in dusty streets
For all my many sorrows and regrets nothing could compare to just this one
That in the presence of my King I cannot fall upon my knees
I cannot carry You up to Your throne; You instead, will carry me back home.
What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood, nothing but the blood
What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood, nothing but the blood
Cause this is what Love says, standing at the door
You don't have to be who you've been before
And silenced by His voice, death can't speak again
This is how Love wins.
My favorite CD (I know, everyone else in my family uses MP3s on their various music machines...) resides by my computer. I was listening to it again & decided to share the song that's in my heart this morning. It is sung by Steven Curtis Chapman.

pea crisps with roasted carrot “hummus”
Kristen from Frugal Antics of a Harried Homemaker is the Improv Boss. And what she says, goes. She said “Peas & Carrots,” so here goes…
My family likes to uh… we like to ummmmm… I snack. As a gluten-free individual it is difficult & often expensive to find tasty snacking options. My GF Pinterest board gets a lot of activity: I’ll find a recipe & if I try it but don’t like it, I delete the pin. I’ve been trying various crisps & crackers made of assorted meals & flours then baked, dehydrated or fried. My “pea offering” is a result of those ideas.Although it may look like a long recipe, it is really pretty simple. The hardest part was waiting for them to cool before eating!
I loves me a good hummus! I’ve blogged about this fixation lust obsession love of mine here, and here. A Pinterest pin I found led me to this recipe. (Thank you, Ms. Camilla, for this bowl of incredible tastiness!) I did change it ever so slightly to reflect my family’s tastes.Decidedly the most difficult part of this process was staying in the house while smelling the carrots roasting with the garlic & cumin!…did have to make a little grocery run to pick up the rest of the ingredients…The dip is a little sweet, but my guys devoured it. They gave the dip & the chips all thumbs up. My aunt was visiting and she enjoyed the tasting as well.
Thanks for stopping by! You really should go check out the other “peas & carrots” participants:

Did you get your invitation
to the Dress Form Ball?Millie (thoroughly modern…) received hers the first week in January. She usually graces the wedding shrine in our bedroom; but lately she’s been out on the town, modeling costumes. In fact, she was so busy with a Cinderella production until the end of February,I didn’t know if she’d be able to make it to the ball! That was when Miss Dorothy decided to crash the party. Now, Miss Dorothy is not what she appears to be. (I found her at the suggestion of our hostess, Carol, right here.) Dorothy is quite shallow & perhaps a little flat, as well. But, like Cinderella, she so wished to be at a party, so Miss Dorothy checked herself in the mirror, donned a pretty necklace & some lace and beguiled some Fellowe to take her to the ball.
Here she is, posing with Millie:Now, go check out some other lovelies at the party…
