the making of crystallized ginger...

...also known as candied ginger...

Here's my recipe, followed by a few pictures of the process.

peel it, slice it

cook it

drain it, dry it

dredge it

enjoy it!

  1. Oh hey! I'd made this too just a while ago. Isn't it great to be able to make this at home? It's so expensive to buy them over here ... I wonder why?
