Things I'm Loving...

Wise, wise words.


There is soooooo much happening in our lives right now. It's one of those frightening rides at the un-amusement park. Up. Down. Sideways. Inverted roll -- all at a frenetic pace.

Yesterday I gave this boy an envelope with his monthly bus fee in cash. The envelope never made it to the office. We lectured on responsibility blah blah blah blah blah... And we prayed about it. This morning the bus driver handed the envelope to the monitor who handed it to our son. Lesson learned? I don't know about the responsibility part, but the part where we have a God who cares & answers prayers -- I'm sure he got it!

A couple weeks ago this son did a fine job as Doc Robinson in his school's production of "The Trial of Tom Sawyer" which ran for two evenings. Auditions were quite a stretch for him. And he persevered through long rehearsals every night. Now he is looking forward to his freshman year so he can be in the high school plays.

We're anticipating this one graduating in May, so we had his Senior pictures done by a good friend from church. Megan is fabulous!

I am so thankful for my much better half! Do you know that this busy man shopped at five different stores before he found my perfume?

So Special

A special day of prayer for a special little man. We have been praying for Gavin for such a long time -- at least since March of 2010. My boys still petition our Father for "Baby Gavin" every time they pray.

Gavin was supposed to be born around the beginning of July last year, but instead made his entrance to this world on the fifth of April. You can read about his journey thus far, right here.

Anyhow, on Monday, Mr. Gavin has to have a surgical procedure done to scope areas of concern in his throat, lungs & intestines. Believers from around the world are "gathering" via a facebook invite, to fast & pray for Gavin's healing. We will also be praying for healing with regard to his low muscle tone & muscular issues with his eyes.

I was privileged last week to meet Gavin for the first time & to see his mom (a former student, whom I've probably not seen in over a dozen years...) He was such a good boy! Not fussy in all the heat & didn't cry while I held him.

God bless you Gavin. We pray for His will in your life. May you be a difference-maker.
