~ June Celebrations ~

June was jam-packed, as usual...

From the time of my MIL's birthday on the 2nd until my birthday 3 weeks later, we kept busy crafting & baking & celebrating. (3 birthdays, 2 anniversaries & Father's Day...)

My sis made a big party @ her house to celebrated Father's Day + my birthday.

The very best part of my birthday was having all my fellas together at the same table!

When my fellas were youngerI could dress them as I pleased…It became more difficult as they got olderand grew notions of what they would

and

would not wear.

 

Well, Friday night brought the occasion of the Senior Banquet at church. The theme was “20’s ganster” and these two described to me their desired attire. I shopped a couple Goodwill stores on Thursday-Dollar-Tag-Day and found their wool suits, for $1 each! The real surprise was how well the pin-stripe suit fit my hard-to-fit fella – it was almost as if the jacket was tailored to him.Their hats (& the white tie) we ordered from Amazon. I stitched up the pocket scarves from my stash. (There were plans to make “wingtip” shoes with white contact paper, but the contact paper wasn’t in agreement…) I think we nailed it!

Sweet Birthday Weekend

Last month we were thankful to spend Keith’s birthday out of the harsh Phoenix temperatures which neared 120° by the end of the week. Tucson was a much cooler 104°!

We were fortunate to get a reservation at the beautiful Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

The tub,

the room,

the food,

& the views made for quite a lovely getaway!
